The Chambers of Prince of Wales
Both buildings of The Chambers are designed for ultimate office layout and planning flexibility. Business owners could purchase a single “office flat” of 1,160 square feet on one of three floors, or purchase additional flats to make a larger office and even combine three flats vertically to create an “office townhouse” of 3,500 square feet. In all, there were 24 office flats available for sale at the Chambers of Prince of Wales. Combining flats allowed the business owner to acquire a substantial commercial property, divided into three flats and designed to allow owners to lease separate areas. This allows maximum flexibility for companies still growing or downsizing to create revenue from unused space.
The Chambers of Terry Fox
The Chamber of Terry Fox introduced the Chambers Office Townhouse to the Kanata market and was an immediate success. Located near the Marshes Golf Club, the Brookstreet Hotel and many of Kanata’s high tech corporate headquarters, the project sold out to professionals, financial planners, associations and small business.
The Chambers of Queensview
The Chambers of Queensview consists of 6 office townhouses in the central location of Pinecrest and the Queensview. Each unit of 3500 square feet on 3 floors gives the purchaser the flexibility of occupying the whole unit or leasing out a floor for investment. The Chambers was designed by Architect David Blakely with features such as 9’ and 10’ ceilings, large operable windows and quality stone and brick cladding
460 West Hunt Club Centre
Located at the intersection of two of Ottawa’s premier commercial streets — Merivale Road and West Hunt Club Drive, this property offers prime visibility and easy access from the north/south and east/west for clients of office condominium owners and their patients and clients. The building is fully occupied by healthcare clinics and services that take advantage of this exceptional location.
Ravenhill Common
Ravenhill Common is a 19-unit residential infill project on the site of Westboro United Church, built in 1913. While not identified for heritage value, the main church building was seen as an asset to the development, and its preservation was essential to maintaining a community connection despite the transformation of the site.
“Ravenhill Common … is sympathetic to and compatible with its surroundings, yet distinguishable as a contemporary work.”
—2016 City of Ottawa Architectural Conservation Awards
The redevelopment included an extensive renovation of the church to accommodate what is now known as “Festival House,” the headquarters of Bluesfest, a small performance space and the Bluesfest School of Music & Art (operated in conjunction with the Dovercourt Community Centre).
